We can help you with everything to prepare you from Shabbat dinner to Sunday morning brunch!
We help Bar/Bat Mitzvah students of all levels prepare their Torah and Haftorah readings, lead Shacharit, Torah, and Musaf services, and we'll even help with the speech. In addition, we can also prepare a Bar or Bat-Mitzvah to lead Friday night services, kiddush, or weekday morning shacharit, depending on your needs.
Tone deaf? Our tutors have music education experience as well as Jewish education experience, so they'll do their best to assure that the student is pitch perfect for the big day!
Our tutors have extensive experience working with the specific needs of pre-teens, so they understand that each student is special and requires personal attention.
We understand that there are many occasions beyond a Bar/Bat-Mitzvah in which you might need help preparing to read Torah or Haftorah. Perhaps you want to commemorate your upcoming marriage or the birth of a child. Whether it's your first time or you just need to brush up, we're here!
Torah Reading:
We can help teach you the essentials of reading Torah, from the melodic chanting, to getting used to reading without the Hebrew vowels. Whether it's one aliyah or seven, we're here to help! We can also prepare you for High Holiday chanting.
Haftorah Readings:
If you haven't brushed up on your Ezekiel for a while, not to worry. We can help prepare you to chant the blessings before and after the Haftorah, as well as the reading itself.
Shabbat, weekday, holiday, shacharit, mincha, maariv, etc. We've got you covered!
We can get you ready to lead any service.
Not ready to lead, but want to learn? We can certainly help you get familiar with services as a congregant, and we can even teach you the correct prayer choreography so youre familiar with when to sit, stand, bow, etc., so you are in sync with the Jewish aerobics of it all!
We don't only work in Hebrew!
We can help you write a d'var Torah or a speech for a special simcha. Come to us with your ideas, and we'll help you tweak your speech to perfection.
We can also offer public speaking coaching, as we know that getting up in front of friends, family, and a whole congregation can be a bit intimidating. Best men in weddings are STRONGLY encouraged to use this service.

Who has a tape player anymore?
Our tutors will record your Torah portion or blessings onto mp3s, so that you can listen to them on your ipod, computer, or maybe even your cell phone.
Our rates vary by the service and are charged per hour for individual instruction.
